How to adopt a storm drain
Volunteer fifteen minutes, twice a month, for cleaner waterways and healthier communities. Storm drains flow directly to local waterways and beaches, acting as a conduit for trash and organic pollutants. Adopt-a-Drain asks residents to adopt a storm drain in their neighborhood and keep it clear of leaves, trash, and other debris to reduce water pollution.

Rain washes anything that’s on streets and paved surfaces down storm drains and into local waterways and the ocean. Help keep our water clean!
Dog poop carries harmful bacteria. Pick it up, bag it, and put it in the garbage.
Pollutants like fertilizers and pesticides can harm our lakes and rivers. Leaves, grass, and yard waste add to the problem.
